The Director of the Belgrade Marathon, Darko Habuš, has announced major updates for the 6th Sava Insurance Belgrade Half Marathon, which will take place on the streets of our capital on November 23. According to him, the changes will primarily refer to the race course.

Following the recommendation of the leading officials from World Athletics and European Athletics, we have decided to move the course of the 6th Sava Insurance Belgrade Half Marathon, organized by the Belgrade Marathon, entirely to New Belgrade and Zemun,” explained Habuš, adding:
All of this is being carried out as part of the preparations for the organization of the European Running Championships in the 10 km, 21 km, and 42 km events, which Belgrade will host in 2027. The goal is to test a course set on much flatter terrain, without any climbs, in order to achieve faster times and more valuable competitive results.
The head of the Belgrade Marathon specified that the start and finish lines of the 21 km and 10 km races, which are part of the 6th Sava Insurance Belgrade Half Marathon, will be located near the Belgrade Arena.
The race will pass through the following streets: Bulevar Zorana Đinđića, Omladinskih brigada, Milutina Milankovića, Bulevar Crvene armije, Uroša Martinovića, Rjepinova, Bulevar Heroja sa Košara, Tošin bunar, Narodnih heroja, Pariske komune, Bulevar Mihajla Pupina, Aleksandra Dubčeka, 22. oktobra, Vrtlarska, Bežanijska, Glavna, Karamatina, Kej Oslobođenja, Stevana Markovića, Karađorđeva, Karađorđev trg, Bulevar Nikole Tesle, Aleksinačkih rudara, Milentija Popovića, and Antifašističke borbe.
Habuš emphasized that this 6th Sava Insurance Belgrade Half Marathon is also being organized in cooperation with the Athletics Federation of Serbia, with the City of Belgrade serving as the event’s patron.
“We expect around five thousand runners at the start, and it is worth noting that we will have participants from as many as 50 countries around the world, which is of great importance, as it once again places Belgrade on the map of sports tourism as a prominent destination,” concluded Habuš.
