A New Gathering at Ada: dm Women’s Race Marked by Solidarity and Health Awareness

The Belgrade Marathon and dm drogerie markt are pleased to announce the 18th edition of the Women’s Race, which will take place on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Ada Ciganlija.

This traditional 7.7 km race around Lake Sava will once again bring together women of all generations, promoting the importance of physical activity through running or walking. Carrying the powerful message of empowerment and togetherness — #ICanDoIt — the dm Women’s Race has grown into an inspiring event that connects people and reminds us of the importance of taking care of ourselves and others.

No one knows better than women themselves how challenging — and often exhausting — it is to be a devoted mother, pursue a career, and fulfill all the roles that modern life demands of them. In many cases, women forget about themselves, about the time they can and must dedicate to their own well-being. That is why the dm Women’s Race is such a great example of the importance of sports, an active lifestyle, and solidarity among women. This is not just a race — it is an event that brings women together, guides them toward a healthy life, and highlights the strength of mutual support,” said Darko Habuš, Director of the Belgrade Marathon.

What makes the dm Women’s Race truly stand out is its humanitarian character. In cooperation with the ‘Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon’ Foundation, dm drogerie markt will once again donate a pack of Jessa sanitary pads for every registration purchased. The donations will be directed to Special Olympics Serbia and members of the Sports Association of Persons with Disabilities of Belgrade, continuing the fight against period poverty and sending a strong message that every woman deserves dignified and safe care.

This event holds a special place for us, as it allows us to nurture the values of togetherness, support, and a healthier lifestyle year after year. The core mission of the dm Women’s Race remains the preservation of women’s health through physical activity, while also promoting solidarity, unity, and support. The steady growth in the number of participants confirms the increasing need for women to find motivation, energy, and inspiration in events like this. As every year, participants can look forward to a rich entertainment program — from group warm-ups and numerous activations, to refreshments and an inspiring atmosphere for socializing. This October, the race is expected to gather a record number of women who will, in unison, complete a lap around Lake Sava.
