Solidarity and humanity in action – dm Women’s Race on October 6th at Ada Ciganlija.

The Belgrade Marathon, in collaboration with dm drogerie markt, will once again be the organizer of the increasingly popular dm Women’s Race, which will take place on Ada Ciganlija on October 6, 2024. This 7.7-kilometer race around Sava Lake is being organized for the 17th time, and is intended for women of all generations. Its goal is to promote the importance of physical activity, particularly running and walking, as a form of prevention for maintaining health, while also providing an unforgettable social experience, strengthening solidarity through support and motivation.

This year’s dm Women’s Race will also have a humanitarian aspect, as for every registration purchased, the event’s title sponsor, dm drogerie markt, in collaboration with the ‘Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon’ Foundation, will donate a package of Jessa sanitary pads to members of the Special Olympics from 16 clubs across Serbia, as well as to members of the Sports Association of Persons with Disabilities in Belgrade.

Women will thus be running to support other women, and a new feature this year will be a professional panel for all interested female runners who want to further educate themselves on various aspects of physical, reproductive, and menstrual health. This panel will be held on September 18 as part of the press conference announcing this sporting event.

All participants will receive a t-shirt and sponsor gifts in their starter package, and, as every year, there will be a fun entertainment program, refreshments, and additional activities for the youngest attendees, along with great socializing.

The traditional dm Women’s Race is the fourth running event this year organized by the Belgrade Marathon, and we are extremely proud of it. Another exciting new feature this year: as preparation for the dm Women’s Race, public training sessions will be held on September 21 and 28 starting at 9 a.m. at Ada Ciganlija, to ensure all participants are as prepared as possible. All those who cross the finish line on October 6 will receive medals and online certificates.
