30th Anniversary Children’s Marathon Held

The winner of the jubilee 30th Mini Mini Plazma Children’s Marathon, traditionally held at the Belgrade Zoo, is Veljko Petrović from the “Maštarija” kindergarten. He completed the famous 230-meter course around the elephant enclosure in a time of 36.60 seconds. Second place was taken by Jakov Živković from the “Leptirić” kindergarten, while Nina Jović from the “Sveti Sava” kindergarten finished third.

This year again, around 15,000 preschool children from all 17 city municipalities took part in the qualifying races for the Children’s Marathon, with the 150 fastest securing their place in the final through 13 qualification races.

It is worth highlighting that the prelude to the Children’s Marathon was a race for children with disabilities, in which 25 boys and girls participated.

The winners were awarded medals and trophies, while all participants received numerous gifts from the sponsors and partners of the Belgrade Marathon, the organizer of this event. As in previous years, strong support for the entire event was provided by the City of Belgrade, the main sponsor, as well as the Secretariat for Education and Child Protection and the Secretariat for Sport and Youth.
